Sette nuove produzioni per la stagione 2016/17 della Royal Opera House Covent Garden: Norma, Cosi fan tutte, The Nose, Der Rosenkavalier, Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg, The Exterminating Angel e Otello. Oltre a questi, numerose riprese, fra cui, per la prima volta, quelle di Manon Lescaut, Written on Skin, Il trovatore e Adriana Lecouvreur per oltre venti diversi appuntamenti complessivi con l'opera e il teatro musicale.
Cinque spettacoli, fra cui tre nuove produzioni, saranno diretti da Antonio Pappano, che con questa stagione ha rinnovato il suo contratto come direttore musicale fino al 2020.
Quattro prime mondiali e una nuova produzione anche per la stagione di balletto, arricchita da numerose riprese di classici di successo.
Ben dodici spettacoli verranno trasmessi nei cinema di tutto il mondo per la Royal Opera House Live Cinema Season - sei opere e sei balletti

Meet the Young Artists Week(St Clement Danes)
The annual Meet the Young Artists Week gives audiences a chance to meet the new intake of the stars of tomorrow, and hear them perform with those continuing for their second season.
Monday lunchtime recital – 3 October at 1pm
Vlada Borovko, Francesca Chiejina, Jennifer Davis, Emily Edmonds, Angela Simkin, Thomas Atkins, David Junghoon Kim, Gyula Nagy and Simon Shibambu perform operatic arias and ensembles, accompanied by David Gowland, Nick Fletcher and James Hendry.
Tuesday lunchtime recital – 4 October at 1.30pm
Francesca Chiejina and Thomas Atkins perform art songs, accompanied by David Gowland.
Director’s workshop – 6 October at 1pm
Richard Gerard Jones works with Angela Simkin, Gyula Nagy and Simon Shibambu on Handel’s Oreste, which the Programme will present at Wilton’s Music Hall in November.
Juke Box – 9 October at 12.30pm and 6pm
Two separate events presented by all the available Young Artists: the audience at the lunchtime session choose the repertory for the evening recital, followed by an opportunity to meet the Young Artists over a glass of wine.
