VANNINA SANTONI - SOPRANO
Vannina Santoni began to attract attention soon after completing her studies at the Conservatoire National de Paris. She began her career as Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) in Italy and then at the Opéra Royal de Versailles.
She has sung the roles of La Contessa (Le Nozze di Figaro), Fanny (La Cambiale di Matrimonio) at the Bastia Theatre, Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte) and Eurydice (Orphée aux Enfers) at the Agen Theatre.
She was invited to the Capitole in Toulouse to play Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Gretel (Hansel et Gretel), and then returned there for the world premiere of Philippe Hurel’s Pigeons d’Argile in the role of Patricia Baer .
She also played Osira (Bach’s Zanaida) at the Cité de la Musique in Paris and later at the Vienna Konzerthaus and the Teatru Manoel in Malta (available on CD).
Vannina Santoni debuted as Micaëla (Carmen) at the Tours Opera and as Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de Perles) at the Massy Opera. Last season, she debuted as Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Adèle (Die Fledermaus) and Adina (L’Elisir d’Amore) and sang the roles of Suor Angelica and Lauretta in Puccini’s Trilogy.
Her repertoire also includes oratorios (Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore and Great Mass in C Minor, Schubert’s Mass no. 2, E. Paladhile’s Les Saintes Maries de la mer...).
She performs Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) at the Oper Köln, under François-Xavier Roth’s baton, Leïla at the Opéra National de Lorraine, Juliette (Roméo et Juliette) at the Hong Kong Cultural Center, Manon at the Monte Carlo Opera, Micaela (concert version of Carmen) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Frasquita at the Paris Opera, Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) at the Beaune Festival .
She takes part in many festivals and concerts and was invited again on the television programme "Musiques en fête" at the Chorégies d’Orange, broadcasting on France 3 on June 20th 2016. Then, she sings at the Paris Orsay Museum in the musical show “Un Dîner avec Jacques” with extracts of Jacques Offenbach’s works as well as at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in the Verdi’s Requiem with the Orchestre National de France.
More recently, she performs the part of Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) in Bremen, la Contessa (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Opéra du Rhin, Agnès (La Nonne Sanglante) at the Opéra Comique and Violetta (La Traviata) at the Theatre des Champs Elysées, Nanetta (Falstaff) at the Opera de Monte-Carlo, Juliette (Roméo et Juliette) in Nice and in Lisbon, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) at the Opéra National de Paris, Antonia (Les Contes d'Hoffmann) in Lausanne, la Contessa (Nozze di Figaro) at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées.
Among his projects, the part of Violetta (Traviata) in Saint-Etienne, Adina (Elisir d'Amore) in Toulouse, Manon in Zürich, Dona Musica (création of Dalbavie's Soulier de Satin) at the Opéra de Paris, Tatiana (Eugen Oneguin) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées.
